I was brought on to design the proposal layout for one of the brand ambassador's event for Hennessy x NBA Kenya.
Design a proposal document for Hennessy Kenya's brand ambassador's proposed brand-awareness campaign (via a basketball event); in a way that not only explains the event's big idea but does so in a succinct and classy way that accurately expresses the brand's aura and resonates with the key stakeholders to gain support.

As Hennessy is a well established brand, its visual identity, website and marketing have a consistent look and feel that resonates with its core identity. I therefore approach the project with this in mind and sought to align the visual aesthetic to the brand's existing visual language.
The first step I took was to conduct a visual study of Hennessy's previous Hennessy X NBA events held in different countries around the world.
Researched the sports industry and basketball category to identify key trends on the predominant types of colour, typography, imagery and layout used.
With a clear scope of the key trends that inform a sports-oriented aesthetic, I developed layout spreads that were visually engaging and easy to read through, through the following practices:

Minimal, purposeful use of colour

Typographic hierarchy and contrast that promotes legibility and organises and places emphasis on important information

Visual repetition that creates consistency and aides with ease-of-readability
A serif font was used to express both the elegance of the brand and the seriousness of the game
The final design aims to draw in the reader into a dynamic, upbeat and exclusive atmosphere in line with the brand's
tone of voice
Each spread was laid out with visual hierarchy and a bold look and feel coupled with engaging imagery
The tournament event was set to launch in late 2021.
